So what is this?
This site is a labour of love by a veteran journalist just trying to live out a dream. I’m frustrated by the constant bro-fest of film and film commentary, and wanted a site that focused on unique, thoughtful, female-focused commentary on the entertainment industry.

I would love to get your voice in here. If you’re interested in contributing, drop me a line at feministfilmreviews@gmail.com. This is especially true if you’re a member of a diverse community – trans women, women of color, queer women, and all the intersections therein.

You can be male too. That’s totally cool. But if you send a glowing review of The Dirt, I’ll probably side eye you.
